2008 Star Lake Futurity Show
Star Lake is proud to host the annual Junior Futurity Show for our youth customers who purchased heifer projects from Star Lake in the previous year. The Juniors shown here were awarded nearly $20,000 in cash, Star Lake credits and prizes in the May 16, 2008, Junior Futurity Show held the day prior to Star Lake's Seedstock Source Sale. This is the 15th year that Star Lake has sponsored the Annual Junior Futurity Show. Ranch owners Jim and Randy Blin presented the youth with their prizes. The grand champion heifer shown by Austin Howe of Wagontown, Pa., was STAR 115N Polly Beth 35T, a daughter of STAR 12G Palliadin 115N. Austin's brother, Andre, exhibited the Reserve Champion Heifer, STAR 19R Carlene 137T ET, who was sired by SB 122L Git-R-Done 19R. We're proud that all these youth selected Star Lake Herefords for their projects. Good luck to all of you as you show these heifers and put them into your own cowherds.
