Monday the 17th we closed out our Stock Show Connection Internet Auction with a great crowd logged onto LiveAuctions.tv for the final bid-off. The January edition of our Monthly Internet Auction was highlighted with embryos that had ties to the cattle we exhibited at the National Western Stock Show. The embryos that were sired by two-time Supreme Champion Hereford Shock & Awe caught a premium price with many of the lots with siblings at the NWSS doing the same. With the embryos averaging $600 each and the sale total bringing over $30,000.
The high selling lot was the Lot 2 heifer calf. Lot 2 was sired by Moneymaker and her dam is a member of the famous Queen cow family. After the final bid was clicked this March heifer sold for $3,400. The high selling embryo lot was the Lot 7 embryos that were sired by Tailor Made and out of Olivia with the embryos selling for $950 each. These were the first embryos to sell out of Olivia who was the Reserve Grand Champion Female in Denver last year and Champion in Fort Worth.
Thanks again to all of the bidders, buyers and watchers of this months auction. Please check back to the website the first part of February as we unveil the lots for that month's sale... It is sure to be a sweet heart of a deal.
