The Outside temperature had dipped but the action was hot inside the showring at Fridays National Western Hereford Bull Show.
Judge Gary Buchholtz and his associate Judge wife Kathy quickly and effectively sorted the quality lineup of Bulls the exhibitors presented.
The stands were nearly full and the rail was 3 and 4 deep as Hereford enthusiests from not only North America but also from around the world watched the action.
The Star Lake show string was extremely successful and garnered a lot of attention.
STAR TCF Shock & Awe 158W ET was named the Grand Champion Polled Hereford Bull after claiming the Junior Bull Calf Division. We own this February calf with TCF of Michigan, Tennessee River Music of Alabama and Buffalo Bend Farm of Tennessee.
In the Spring Bull Calf Division we had Reserve Champion with out new sire GH Adams Gold Nugget ET 378W. He is owned with Adams Hirsche from Alberta Canada, Heritage Cattle and Wooden Shoe both from Idaho.
The Fall Polled Bull Calf Division saw Montie leading THM Waylon 9334 ET to the Championship. Waylon is owned with Mead Cattle of Georgia, Soules Livestock Enterprises and C3 Cattle Co. both from Oklahoma.
The Polled Yearling Bull Division found RVP STAR 533P Can-Am ET 57U in the Champions spot. We own Can-Am with River Valley Herefords from Ontario Canada, The Can-Am Group & Ridgeview Farm out of Michigan.
In the Polled Senior Bulls Division STAR NK Platinum 508T ET was named the Division Champion. We own Platinum with Kruschke Farms from Ohio Hat Creek Ranch and Rafter J Cattle both from Texas.
For the Champion Drive in the Polled Show 4 of the 6 Divisions were frm the Star Lake show string; WOW!!!
Again Shock & Awe was named Grand Champion and C New Era ET owned by Colyers and Albin Farms was Reserve Grand.
In the Horned Show Barber Ranch led BR Currency 8144 ET to the Grand Champion title and Churchill Frontier 9137W ET owned by Churchill and Hoffman was Reserve Grand.
