TH 805H 743 About Time 415W was purchased as Lot 7 in the Topp Hereford Sale with our partners Larson Polled Herefords in Texas. In fact, Montie was on the phone bidding as they were trying to get him lined up for the Championship drive of Polled Hereford Females in Fort Worth!
This outstanding bull calf was born on March 9, 2009 and is sired by National Champion CRR About Time 743. He is out of the great Donor Dam YY 707B Primrose 805H, who is a daughter of the matriarch cow at Topp's YY 125Y Primrose 605F (she is Bismarck's mother). This exciting bull calf has a great set of numbers and an IMF ratio of 119. His EPD's include: BW 3.7; WW 42; YW 71; MM 19; M&G 39; CED +1.7; CEM 2.0; Scrotal 0.5; FAT -.007; REA +.39 and MARB .04. His index numbers are as equally as good: BMI = $15; CEZ = $16; BII = $13 and CHB = $20. We will post a picture of this youngster when we get one taken after he arrives at the Ranch next week.
This About Time calf joins two other exciting sires that we have brought into our program ...FCC 7M Quantum 2U is a bull we purchased from Flewelling Cattle Co in Alberta. He is also owned with Moorehaven Farm in Ontario. We introduced him in our Denver newsletter...to read that newsletter CLICK HERE. Quantum was a Reserve Champion winner at both the 2008 & 2009 Agribition National Hereford Show. Quantum has a powerful outcross type pedigree, an awesome mother and with his low birth weight genetics, he will see a lot of use on heifers.
In addition we have partnered with Grant Hirsche, John & Corb Wilson, Wooden Shoe Farm and Heritage Cattle Co on the exciting bull calf GH Adams Gold Nugget ET 378W who was the high seller in the Adams-Hirsche sale @ $74,000 for ½ interest. This bull is an extremely exciting outcross to Keynote 20X genetics, we see him becoming an outstanding breeding tool for many breeders.
