Star Lake is bringing a fantastic offering to the Bluegrass Stakes Heifer Sale in Louisville as Lot # 6, STAR KKH Kickin'it Up 171W ET. This February ET heifer will sell as Lot 6 in the sale on November 18, 2009 at the New Market Hall Sales Pavilion in Louisville, Kentucky. The sale will start at 3 PM (Eastern).
This outstanding heifer is a full sister to Valedictorian, Denver Supreme Champion Hereford. The dam is Kessey, Denver National Champion and Junior National Expo Champion Heifer. The calf is sired by Bright Future, a National Champion himself. With his first two calf crops the Bright Future progeny have been some of the most popular in the breed. This heifer calf shares a heritage with a number of great family members all tracing back to granddam, Keysha who was the Grand Champion Heifer at the Junior National Expo and came back the next year as Champion Cow-Calf. The '09 Jr. National Expo saw more impact from this family as Olivia was Reserve Grand Champion in both the Bred-and-Owned and in the Owned in Tulsa. All this results in a calf that will make whoever is showing her look good.
