Last night we closed our February Internet Auction with a bid-off that started at 7 p.m. CST just like we always do. What wasn't typical was the flurry of bids that came in during the bid-off! With 51 registered bidders and many more just watching we had a great virtual crowd on hand. This month we sold what we feel were some of the best of the best and you showed us we were right with your bids.
After the final bid had been placed this months sale brought in a total of $32,500.00 with the embryos averaging over $605.00 each. The high selling lot was the Lot 1 bull who is a full brother to Bright Future and he sold for $3,900.00. The high selling embryos were out of Belle 117L and Online selling as Lot 5 and they went for $1,000.00 each! In addition we had great interest in our first Monthly Semen Special which was Moneymaker semen selling for $10 a straw when purchasing 10 or more units.
Next month will be a busy one on starlakeherefords.com as we will not only be having our Monthly Internet Auction but we will also be holding our St. Patrick's Day Semen Sale the 12th to the 17th. This Semen Sale will run just as it has in the past with all semen being 25% off and to top it off each order will get you a free limited edition t-shirt!
