Attention Juniors - Futurity News

The Junior Futurity is only a week away and hopefully all you juniors have been getting your heifer prepped for a trip to Skiatook! When you come to the Ranch for the Futurity you don't need to bring much but here is a quick rundown of what you will need.

- Registration Paper. We know that we sold you the heifer but we still need the registration paper to make sure everything is in order.

- Show Supplies. Bring everything that you want as far as show supplies go. Some folks prefer not to fit their heifer but we always encourage you to show your heifer at her maximum potential.

- Chairs. There isn't anywhere to sit in the tent where you will be stalling your heifer so bringing some chairs will keep your legs fresh and your feet happy.

- Appropriate Attire. We will be supplying a show shirt for each of the exhibitors but don't forget to throw a jacket in your bag when you head to the Ranch. The weather can be rather unpredictable so more is usually better.

- Your Attention.  We will once again be having a Star Lake U Clinic at this year's sale. Josh Taylor and Todd Herman are without a doubt two of the best in the Hereford show cattle industry and they are here to help you! So bring your attention and some questions, the Show Clinic will begin Friday the 20th at 10:30 a.m.

- Your Smile. We love having y'all come to the Ranch and we love it even more when you are as excited as we are. Our sale is a great place to meet friends and build relationships with other young people in our industry. No one wants to hang out with the kid in the corner frowning so bring your smile and a good attitude and you will go places!

This is a great opportunity to show off that Star Lake heifer that you purchased in 2010 and receive great rewards in cash, credit and prizes. Remember the Star Lake U clinic will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the Futurity will start around 1:00 p.m. We hope to see you here!
